Manned Guarding
On-site security when a visible, consistent presence is required
Manned guarding provides a physical security presence on your premises during the hours you need it. It is most effective where visibility, deterrence and immediate response are important.
At RPS Facilities, we provide manned guarding as a targeted security solution, rather than a default option for every site.
How manned guarding works
A trained, SIA-licensed security officer is assigned to your premises for agreed hours. Their role is to monitor activity, control access where required, carry out checks, and respond immediately to any issues that arise.
This service is commonly used:
– outside normal business hours
– overnight
– during periods of increased risk
– on sites that must not be left unattended
When manned guarding is the right choice
Manned guarding is particularly suited to:
– remote or isolated properties
– sites with high footfall or vulnerability
– locations where visible deterrence is important
– short-term or temporary security requirements
It can also be used alongside keyholding and alarm response as part of a wider security arrangement.
A practical, proportionate approach
We are clear that manned guarding is labour-intensive and should be used where it genuinely adds value. Where other services provide a more efficient solution, we will say so.
When manned guarding is in place, it is delivered professionally, reliably and with clear communication.
Local delivery and direct contact
RPS Facilities is based in Larbert and provides manned guarding primarily across Central Scotland, with wider coverage available where appropriate.
