FAQs

What does RPS Facilities do?

RPS Facilities is a security-led business specialising in keyholding and alarm response for commercial properties. We also provide manned guarding, event security and void property inspections where these services are appropriate.

What is key holding and alarm response?

Key holding and alarm response means we attend your property when an alarm is triggered, day or night. We check the building, secure doors or windows if needed, reset the alarm and report back to you, removing the need for staff or owners to attend out of hours.

Do you provide 24/7 alarm response?

Yes. Our alarm response service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including nights, weekends and early mornings.

Who contacts you when an alarm goes off?

Your alarm monitoring company contacts us directly. We then attend the site and deal with the activation on your behalf.

What types of businesses use your services?

We work with organisations responsible for commercial buildings, including GP practices, churches, offices, factories, accommodation providers, student housing and community facilities.

Where is RPS Facilities based?

We are based in Falkirk. Central Scotland

What areas do you cover?

Our core service area is Central Scotland, including Falkirk, Stirling and surrounding areas. We also provide wider coverage where appropriate, particularly for event security or larger contracts.

Do you provide manned guarding services?

Yes. We provide manned guarding where a visible on-site security presence is required, such as overnight cover, high-risk sites or short-term requirements.

Do you offer event security?

Yes. We provide professional event security for corporate events, exhibitions and organised gatherings, with staffing levels matched to the size and nature of the event.

What is a void property inspection?

A void property inspection is a scheduled check of an unoccupied commercial building to ensure it remains secure, safe and compliant, often to meet insurance requirements.

Are your security staff SIA licensed?

Yes. All front-line security staff are SIA licensed and qualified for the roles they carry out.

How much does key holding and alarm response cost?

Costs vary depending on the level of cover required. Keyholding typically involves a retainer fee, with a charge for callouts when attendance is needed. We explain pricing clearly before any service starts.

How quickly can key holding or alarm response be set up?

In many cases, services can be set up the same day, depending on access arrangements and alarm details.

Will I deal with the same person each time?

Yes. We offer continuity and direct contact. You deal with the people responsible for delivering the service, not a call centre.

How do I arrange a service?

Contact us to discuss your property and requirements. We’ll recommend the most appropriate service and provide a clear quote.
